What is Coronavirus disease?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause illness such as respiratory infections, common cold, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) etc.
COVID-19 is a respiratory illness caused by a new coronavirus, discovered in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. The virus is officially named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Cases of COVID-19 have been reported in a growing number of countries and WHO declared a global pandemic in March 2020.
